WOMEN'S T20 WORLD CUP

WEST INDIES  HOLD IT TO THE LINE AGAINST PAKISTAN | DIGITAL DAILY EPISODE 16 | WOMEN'S T20WC 2023

Pakistan will see they should hold turned out down their sitting duck, and nearly went in a  closing over that came along for 14 runs.

But it didn’t live, as Pakistan prostrate three runs scary of  West Indies ’  grudge despite the late dramatics.

The sequel means that West Indies hold won two on the brio after knowing a run of 15- right defeats the former in Friday's contest against Ireland.

And the mislaying for Pakistan sees them cut a big hap to put stress on India in the battle for capability for the goddess stages, as well as warranting England's progress to the semi-finals from Group 2.

WEST INDIES  WEATHER FINAL-ACROSS DRAMA TO BRATING PAKISTAN | WOMEN'S T20WC 2023

Muneeba Ali Siddiqui lived the initial gate to fall in the first innings,  terminated by Hayley Matthews for 5(11 balls).   And the each-global rate of Matthews was on show times latterly when she birthed an astonishing land mine to shoot Sidra Amin go to the bunker for a  dallying 8(15).

Pakistan plodded to pick up the scoring as the needed rate embarked to turn out significantly, with the score at just 40/2 after ten overs.   And the game drifted towards the death as Pakistan made a  mess of the run prey, with the unsettled Matthews returning the stage-eschewal numbers for her platoon.

Bismah Maroof (26 from 33) and Nida Dar (27 from 31) were unfit to make on the tribune they’d set for themselves, and the contest came along into the closing over with Pakistan taking 18 to rack up.

Aliya Riaz and Fatima Sana Khan nearly saved Pakistan,  crashing three limitations from the first four balls to set up a  stagy conclusion.

But Riaz lived and sailed for 29 from 23 off the penultimate ball of the innings. And the final ball darted the pads of new batter Omaima Sohail to head for a leg bye as Pakistan skipped the occasion to strengthen their qualification accidents.

TIME TO#TURNITUP| ICC WOMEN'S T20 WORLD Mug 2023

Without the favors of the harmed Stafanie Taylor, West Indies rolled to Rashada Williams and Shemaine Campbelle alongside Matthews in their topmost three, and the brace was up to nip the aggregate to 73 before Williams lived seized and sailed by Sadia Iqbal for 30( 34 balls).

There  lived a  point of confusion when Campbelle was snared in the outfield without the batter nor the catcher noticing that dead-the ball held formerly lived holloed before the ball held been loosened,  giving away Campbelle a reprieve.

But West Indies were inapt to truly make it on the rostrum set, with Campbell slipping for 22(26), Chinelle Henry retired for 11(10), Aaliyah Alleyne going for 9(9), and Shabika Gajnabi the last batter to trip for 13(15).

The total felt inadequate, but the distinction of some of the West Indies bowlers and the lack of assailing intent from Pakistan expressed that 116  validated just about enough.

What this result means for Group 1

England is through to the semi-finals thanks to this outcome, and it'll right now hold two big dislocations to deny India the other stuff place.

Pakistan and West Indies are quite theoretically in argument, but it would bear India to mislay to Ireland for either of those brigades to sit an accident to go round.

Women's T20 World Cup 2023 Standings  West Indies would grow if India misplaced to Ireland by a heavy- enough periphery to slip into third on Net Run Rate.

And for Pakistan, they would claim India to mislay to Ireland by any periphery, and also for themselves to get around largely-fancied England in their final match to leapfrog both India and Pakistan into a different place.

Hayley Matthews is a superb cricketer

Many brigades calculate on one player as important as this current West Indies side does on captain Hayley Matthews.

When she fails with the club so too, frequently, does her side. And her response to being out for 20 at the top of the order in this game showed just how important stress is on her shoulders.

But Matthews is each-global trouble, and she lived awful with the ball too, demonstrating extremely hardy to seam off and taking 2/14 from her four overs.

And not gratified with pitching in with club and ball, the commandant pulled off a superb catch too, snaffling a tough hap to take off Sidra Amin.

Quite just 24 times old, Matthews is formerly a star of the world game and it'll be appealing to see how her career progresses from then.
