The deliverance platoon retrieves 80 bodies from the debris, hands them over to their heirs at law
ISLAMABAD Pakistan Army managed to deliver further than six people, including a 14- time-old boy, trapped under the debris of structures that collapsed during an important earthquake that ripped through southeastern Turkiye, near Syria’s border, last Monday.
The death risk from the disastrous earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria climbed to 33,000 on Sunday, with the United Nations advising that the final number might double.
Officers and croakers said 29,605 people had failed in Turkiye and 3,574 in Syria from Monday's 7.8- magnitude earthquake, bringing the verified aggregate to 33,179.
Pakistan despatched its army’s hunt and deliverance platoon for backing in the relief sweats.
In 120 hours of excited sweats, the Pakistan Army – besides delivering further than six people– recovered the bodies of 80 people and handed them over to their heirs at law.
The transnational media recognized Pakistan Army’s donation to the relief operation in Turkiye, saying that it won the hearts of the Turkish people.
According to sources, Pakistan Army’s platoon was continuously engaged in deliverance operations at 10 places in Turkiye.
The platoon, according to details, saved a 14-time-old boy after 138 hours of the earthquake, which was credited as a great achievement.
Regarding the professional services of the platoon and the achievements in the hunt operation, TRT World had a special discussion with a Pakistan Army officer.
The officer told TRT World that despite the most delicate conditions, the deliverance brigades of the Pakistan Army presented a practical illustration of professionalism and fidelity to save the boy.
The officer said the original brigades also saved and linked five persons buried under the debris. “The work of removing the debris for the deliverance of the people is ongoing,” the officer said, adding that the Turkish people lauded the professional services of the Pakistan Army’s platoon.
